Braswell's exclusive new throttle body puts additional material in all areas previously prone to breaking. Our A380 alloy resists wear and distortion - the leading causes of erratic throttle movement. Smooth, positive throttle action is further assured by three Teflon® ribbons on both Severe-Duty™ throttle shafts.      Visible evidence of the increased strength begins with the four attachment ears. Traditionally, poor-quality castings and insufficient material at the mounting points have combined to allow cracks to develop in these critical areas. Braswell provides extra-thick gussets in all four corners. Besides extending the throttle body's life, this reinforcement eliminates the distortion, which can bind the throttle shafts, causing a stuck-throttle condition.      Braswell also casts in a secondary throttle stop that positively prevents the throttle lever from going over center. The throttle stop works with stock secondary linkage and components, as is, or can be machined to work with adjustable secondary linkage.      Standard features further include a durable, attractive gold-chromate finish that increases corrosion resistance while enhancing appearance.      Order complete throttle bodies or machined castings, built to your specifications.

Longer mounting bolts are required to ensure proper thread engagement when installing Braswell's beefier Severe-Duty™ throttle body. We offer two choices in premium-quality fasteners: standard Phillips type, with encapsulated lock washer; or Torx-Plus®, which is coated with self-locking material.
