Our Severe-Duty™ floats are now available in a wide variety of shapes to suit various carbureted motorsport applications. Our current line has 12 separate floats that have been optimized over several years of use in all forms of competition. They are net shape and require no modification for use. The floats are made from Spancil® NBR (nitrile buna rubber) in a compound that is highly resistant to most currently used motor fuels and additives, including both ethanol and methanol. The floats and tooling are designed and manufactured with pre-cure and final cure molds that we produce. This gives us much better control over the shape and weight of the final product. All floats feature a molded in reference line for easy float level setting.
We are currently working on several new floats that will be available by spring of 2006. These are the SD/CO (Severe-Duty™ Competition Only) line which is slightly heavier, and has shown an advantage in high banked track applications.
Another line currently being tooled is the S/S (Street Strip) line. This will be a moderately priced replacement float series for applications not requiring the use of our Severe-Duty™ floats.
